Could I bother you for an administrator role? I've been working the past few weeks to clean up categories, update and modernize articles and add templates and boilerplates as there seemed to be nothing already in place. There is a large amount of old category pages that could be deleted. Most of them are for specific levels and I redirected the pages listing all items of that type to their proper category page. The idea is to replace the old list page with ones using a sortable table, like this . This would replace the level categories and also allow users to sort by other fields, like damage or element as well as alphabetical.
I have also been adding the weekly Design Notes, as well as updating the DragonFable News section on the main page with the basic release info. I though it would be nice if I could change the wiki background to the weekly release image as well. Just a thought.
Personally, my main goal is to add new content weekly as it's added, then update and organize all the old articles that are already here. When that's done, I'd start focusing on adding old content. There didn't seem to be an active community here on the wiki and contributions were months apart. There were no templates or rules outlining how pages should look, and many of the ones that were here were formatted differently and missing different parts of information. I didn't feel like I was stepping on anyone's toes, hopefully not. I'm just in the mindset that this wiki could be a lot more then it actually is, and I enjoy working on it, even with the large amount of work that needs to be done.
I have also sent a message reaching out to BlackDragon.
hiya, thanks for reaching out.
I'm thinking of giving you administrator. :)
Good work on the wiki. I've been mostly absent recently on this wiki because my interests and priorities have changed. Just an fyi, I haven't exactly finished cleaning up the garbage created by User:Oto Mezurashi. Had made a ton of random disruptive edits in 2016 so.
Hey! Your edits definitely seem really well done! I have also been inactive lately (just on Wikia in general) because I've been really busy with outside stuff, so I also am fine with you getting a bigger role :)
I would appreciate a response. You have been active since I have posted this. I would like to adopt the Wiki, because you stopped editing on it for a long period of time. You don't have to make an occasional edit just to keep your adminship. I would like to help out, and every other admin/bureaucrat is inactive.
I would like to think I've made enough quality edits to how I'm serious about it.
I'm just saying it would have been nice to recieve a reply instead of you ignoring my comment. You could use to be a little more friendly with the community. You're coming off like you don't like me and just gave me the rights even though you really didn't want to.
I'm not going to ruin the Wiki or anything, I've already made 700 productive edits this week. It'd just be nice to get an answer when you ask a question. I'm not trying to say you're a bad admin, I just wanted to help out... (that way when you're on a break, there's still an active admin).
I'd be willing to work together and decide the best way to do things, but you don't really sound interested in doing so.
Im really sorry. I should have replied earlier yes. No no no. look at my userpage. I'm unhappy at the state of the wiki because the edits made by that one guy. Serioulsy? who puts a full stop at the end of a category?
ANyways, I'm willing to work with you. Feel free to improve the wiki as you see fit. I don't expect to do much here in the near future.
Yeah seriously, it's really annoying. I'm not super familiar with all the official categories (there's a LOT of misspellings/alternate names), but I'm learning. I've already removed a large amount of the periods from the categories. Though I guess I prefer doing so the old fashioned way rather than using a bot (which also deleted a bunch of images), lol.
I started editing some of the WikiMedia and community messages. Some of them haven't been updated in years (or ever, lol).
Check out your Admin Dashboard, which can be found by clicking "Admin" on the bottom toolbar -- it has links to all your new tools. Please let me know if you have any questions, and good luck with your new (old) wiki!
